“Mania’s Connectedness” is a limited edition fine art giclée print that bridges the world of natural wood and human expression. Born from an original carved and pyrographed oak artwork, this piece embodies the synergy between organic materials and figurative artistry. Created in collaboration with visionary artist Dorota Chioma, it is part of the Ember & Essence series by Crystal Woods, a collection exploring the energy, spirit, and depth of the human form.

The Artwork – Serenity in Form and Grain

At the heart of “Mania’s Connectedness” lies a strikingly simple yet deeply evocative composition: a nude female figure carved and burned into a sliver of warped English Oak. The contours of the form radiate calm confidence, while the natural grain of the oak flows like a living canvas beneath. The textures of burrs and knots enrich the subject’s presence, creating an interplay between wood and figure that is at once timeless and contemporary.

Every curve and line reflects a sense of poise, introspection, and inner harmony. The artwork draws viewers into a state of contemplative stillness, symbolising the profound interconnectedness of body, spirit, and nature.

Techniques – Pyrography, Carving, and Organic Expression

The original wood piece that inspired this series was shaped using a blend of carving, burning, and pyrography techniques. These methods, coupled with the natural patterns of the oak, give depth and authenticity to the composition.
